So,
It's been the same ol same ol around here. Constantly picking up toys, cleaning house, laundry, dishes. etc. I recently hosted a Pampered Chef Party & had a very nice turnout. I even baked a very tasty pie for the occasion. It was a Blushing Cran-Apple Pie. I will be closing my show later this week. I have a list of stuff I want about a mile long! Hope I get lots more sales. :) I have managed to keep my house "clean" since the party. Been very proud of myself. Just the keeping up with laundry and putting away the toys as they get drug out. Faith has enjoyed her 1st week of school. Isaiah started sleeping in again. Mom & I took the kids to Arthur this last weekend to go to Beachy's. Mom had never been! (what?!) I love that store. I came home with a wondrous supply of cappuccino mixes, home made butter & Amish peanut butter! After our shopping trip, we hit up the yummy Yoder's Kitchen for a tasty buffet lunch where I ate way too much! But it was a lot of fun spending time with my mom. Even though we live in the same town, we don't spend near enough time together. I worked on a couple of DIY projects I saw on Pinterest. We also enjoyed the balloon festival in Lincoln over the weekend. Took Faith on the hot air balloon. It was a first for both of us. I do love the sight of all the hot air balloons. As did Isaiah. He just kept saying "bayoon! bayoon! bayoon!" as he pointed in the sky. Sadly, my lil man doesn't like having his picture taken.
(yummy!)

(this came JUST in time. Faith came home with a fundraiser the NEXT day!!)
(it's hard to tell, but here we are on a hot air balloon)

To that, I tip my mug for another sip of java!

Hi fellow bloggers!
Wow. I seriously need to slow down & smell the coffee beans! I never got back to writing after our trip to California back the end of April! Wow!!! So, like old friends that haven't seen each other in a while, we need to catch up from where we left off!
1st off, California was awesome! Faith assumed we were taking her to see her Aunt Curly & she couldn't wait! Once we landed & shuttled form the airport she kept noticing all this Disney themed stuff & was getting irritated because "she wants to go". Haha! So when we sprung the news that we were going to Disney for a few days, she was sad to not see Aunt Curly right away, but excited as well. Everyday we had a new surprise for her! Day 1: She got a new Minnie Mouse headband & the surprise of going to Disney, Day 2: we had a Princess Belle dress and tiara & took her to a lunch, at Ariels Grotto, to meet the princesses (Belle is her favorite) Day 3: we had a new princess shirt for her. She had a blast, as did we. She rode everything! I was stoked! She even wanted to ride the tower ride, roller coasters etc. She is a brave girl!!! Love her dearly! Our 3rd day in Cali we spent half the day at Disney & the other half learning to sail & at the beach.(it was COLD) My brother in-law Peter is an excellent sailor. He taught us well. Sadly, I have forgotten the term that I called out as I pulled a rope to help the sail swing around. We also tried In N Out Burger for the 1st time. YUMMY!!! Day 4: we packed a picnic lunch & went hiking in the mountains to a gorgeous waterfall & ate our lunch. California was amazing!

(we almost lost Mikel)

Since our trip, we have finished ("finished") our kitchen cabinets, I repainted the cabinets in the laundry room & revamped my china cabinet. Nate Berkus would be proud!

We recently got back from a trip to Flint, MI for my nieces 2nd birthday. She had a Dora Fiesta. So much fun!! My nieces are growing up so fast!!! I wish we lived closer. Isaiah & Chloe wore their Batman jammies on the same night. So cute! Ashley took Faith & I to Bronners Christmas store! WOW!!! Holy Christmas there is a LOT of ornaments there! (no pun intended) :) We also drove a little further to Frankenmuth to sample some chocolate cheese at the Cheese Haus. I know where I want to stay next time we are up there.
Our trip home was awful! Just Awful! Because I am a Christian, I will not use the words to describe the trip, that I really want to. Our trip home started off nicely. Moving along, got away on time. etc. etc. Then, as we were on I94W going past Kalamazoo, we noticed one of those lovely blinking signs that said the Interstate was closed. 10 miles ahead. REALLY!? Great. So, as traffic sat at a standstill just 2 miles from there, we did a Uturn & decided to take 131S. yay. little HWY. Semis driving side by side, holding up traffic, just your typical train blocking our only way home for nearly a half hour, then another small town (about the size of Mt. Zion) using 1 ONE lane through the entire town! That would be like Mt. Zion taking 121 & taking it to 1 lane, but this HWY seems to wind through the whole town. So we sat for over a half hour for the south bound traffics turn. RRRGH! We were HOT at this point!! We nearly missed being caught by another train in the 3rd town & we FINALLY arrived onto I80/I90W (a toll road) just to get caught in more road construction! We had several other feats to concur, such as a downpour of rain so we could barely see & were beginning to hydroplane, right outside of SouthBend, IN. Once we finally arrived home I was much happier. We returned the rental car, unpacked out stuff, got a load of laundry going & headed off to Faith's 2nd grade orientation. whew! What a day!!!
Since our adventure Isaiah has been waking up at 4am, the one night he didn't, Beanie threw up in my bedroom floor at 4am. yay. And Faith has begun her adventure at a new school as a big 2nd grader! :) Basketball & dance will be starting soon enough as will Brownie scouts. Life will get hectic.

To that my fellow readers, I'm drinking a BIG 20oz cup o' java! :)

Things That Make You Go "REALLY?!?!?!"

Hello Bloggers!
So, It's been another crazy week in the Bosler household! We are anxiously awaiting our trip to California. Thank goodness. This mama needs a break from reality! You ever have those moments in your life & you are like "REALLY!? Did you just say that? Did you just do that?" Well, I've had a few this week. I will only blog about 2 of them. The 3rd, is kept in the family. Here we go.
Isaiah (imagine that) is my climber.... nuff said right? But, I was in my room packing. Isaiah had been in and out  of my room playing. He was being very quiet. As any mother knows, that is usually not a good thing. So, I decided it best if I find him. Find him I did! He was sitting on top of my kitchen table, with a pencil in his hand. He was fishing it around in a jar of water that HAD fresh flowers in it. Some days, I really wish I knew what on earth he is thinking! *There is my "Really!? Did you just do that?"
Now, Faith at dinner the other night. (I love her dearly, but she isn't always the brightest crayon in the box. Some days, she is a grey) We were having breakfast food for dinner & she with the straightest & most serious of faces asks (with a piece of bacon in hand) "is bacon a vegetable or a fruit?"
(I just gave her that seriously!? sort of looks.) and said "uh,....neither......" So she responds with "sooooo, it's not a vegetable?.......or a fruit?"
 "yup. here's your sign" #facepalm#
Sadly, we have talked about where bacon comes from, but apparently that part of her brain took a vacation.....

With that, I too need a vacation. We are taking Faith with us to California & leaving my precious little monkey here under the watchful care of my in-laws. I will miss the little booger! But we shall have details of our trip upon our return!
Gotta go finish packing. Will certainly be taking my "emergency coffee kit" along!
Here's to another sip of java!

Busy Day FAIL

So, I had BIG plans for my day! I should have known, being a Monday and not getting to my java until around 8am (even though I was up at 6:30) that I wouldn't accomplish it all. :/ I feel as though I failed miserably. Let me back up. I wake up, earlier than I had planned because of a certain adorable little boy. So, I am up & snuggling peacefully on the couch with my lil man. I really needed to go potty & fix my coffee, but I was loving the cuddle time. As I sat there I thought of all the things I wanted to accomplish. I had a load of laundry to get done, I had several loads to be folded & put away. I needed to get back to my freezer cooking, I feel like it's been a while. So, once Isaiah decided he had enough cuddling & was ready fore breakfast, I finally got around to fixing my coffee. Well, there was a diaper change in there, the girl I babysit had been dropped off, I saw Faith off to school.... etc. etc. So, I start sipping my coffee, get a load of laundry going, decide to make some corn dog muffins I saw on Pinterest recently.

Going pretty good at this point. I've unloaded & loaded the dishwasher. Gave hugs to my brother in-law & his family as they stopped by on their way outta town & back to DC. Then I thought about how I have leftover walnuts from a dessert I made last week. So, I sought to the internet to find a recipe for candied walnuts. Most recipes called for a candy themometor. So, I did what I always do when I have a question. Call MOM! :) She loves this. I know it. **rolls eyes** Mom gives me a tip on knowing when they sugary mixture has come to a "soft ball"consistency.  So, as my sugary mixture is boiling I begin to panic that I might burn it, so I remove from heat & sir in the vanilla & walnuts & set it out on a plate to cool. That was HOURS ago, & mine are still gooey. oops. But, they do taste yummy!

I also had some frozen veggies, hamburger meat, noodles & a big can of tomato juice to be used, so I decided to make a veggie beef & noodle SOUP. apparently the noodles didn't know I wanted SOUP because while I let the soup sit & cool before bagging up in freezer bags, the noodles absorbed all the broth!!! rrrgh. Was not expecting that. I should have know better, but it is Monday!

As for the laundry, well, the load I put in the wash made it to the dryer & when Mikel came home & asked me to find a shirt for him, I realized that somehow about 15-20min into the drying the door had come open on it's own (stiff baffles me) and so the clothes were still wet. All the huge pile that needs folded, well, it will be awaiting me still. I made the mistake of sitting down earlier to breath a little & never got to it.
Well, take another sip of java & move on! It's Monday & it ain't getting any better!

Round No. 2

This has certainly been a week of firsts for us. My daughter was so easy when she was a baby/toddler. She never climbed out of her crib, she never got out of the toddler bed when it was time for bed, she never had the usual "baby" illnesses, she never pooped in the tub. She was just plain simple. Our wonderful little boy however. He is a challenge. No other way to put it really. This week, as I said before has been a week of firsts. He started our week off (technically it was Saturday, so the end of the week. But for purposes of it all being with a weeks time, we will say started the week off) with Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease. Yuck! He has blister like sores on his hand, mouth, bottom, feet. Its yucky. Our lil monkey, as we called him in the womb, climbed out of the crib the other day. Today, While trying to give the kid a bath, he just stood there in the tub with this look. I just laughed and said "bubby, what is that look about?" and then, it happened. He pooped. Right there in the tub, he pooped! So, I quickly grabbed him & sat him on the toilet where we had another first! He actually pooped in the potty! Yay. so, I get him down & start to empty the tub so I can clean it & start all over again. Bath, round No. 2. But as the water is emptying, Isaiah points & says his new favorite word "See! See!" "Yes Isaiah, I see. Not cool dude. Not cool."
*I will spare you the graphic pictures & only share a cute one*

So, While I am cleaning the tub Isaiah is streaking through the house & proceeds to poop on my clean rug! Great. another mess. I JUST spent my entire day yesterday de-germing my house of all the Hand Foot & Mouth Disease. And I JUST washed that very rug that Isaiah pooped on not even 24 hours ago!
At least I was able to laugh about the ordeal & will have a story to tell his future girlfriends! :)
Here's to another cup of java!

Spring Has Sprung!

Hello fellow followers! It has been longer than I had planned before i got back on here! I have been working away at planting a LOT of plants! I received a ton of starter plants of all kinds from my wonderful aunt! I have completed my flower bed out back now & will soon be working on a new 2 level bed out front. It is going to be a process! haha.
In the meantime, my kiddos have been....well kiddos! We had Easter pictures done at JC Penney recently. Here is my photo I took with my phone before we left!

Isaiah is really getting moving more than ever, barking orders & is quite the little climber! Good thing his nickname is monkey! He is a very brave little soul.
Faith has been busy with near year end school stuff, dance, Daisy's & soon she starts softball! I have the honor of being assistant coach! I am really excited to be helping her coach. She and i get along great!
I have finally done a very small amount of freezer cooking. I made some french toast & what i call breakfast pockets ( they are croissants filled with scrambled egg, bacon & sausage) to freeze for breakfast! Boy am I glad I did! Faith had french toast before heading off to school & Isaiah & the lil gal I watch had breakfast pockets.
I somehow also found time last week to finally conquer a craft I found on Pinterest! It turned out pretty cute! I also crafted up a cute East wreath for my front door.
Here are the supplies for the craft for my back door:
 Tada!
Supplies for my Easter wreath. (yes the pepsi is a supply, it gives me creativity!) :)

Well, spring planting is calling!

SHHH....it's a Library!

I love my kids! I am pretty sure I have made that clear before. But, with that said. There are times I would like to walk away  & pretend I do not know them! :)
We went to the library last night. We live in a small town, so chances are, you are going to run into people again. This may be a good thing sometimes, but also can be bad.
Faith was sitting at a table in the, very quiet, library coloring an Easter egg. She suddenly breaks the silence with a "squeaker". Wonderful! Now I am crying from laughing so hard, not to mention she has embarrassed me. Now, when my child laughs about something like that, it only makes her gassier. So, I am now sitting next to a darling little machine gun. LOL She finally gets up & I sit to regain my composure. When I finally decide to get up, my lovely son now also has to relieve himself loudly in his diaper. Great timing. Made it look like it was me! A man was sitting about 10 feet behind us got up & walked away. I do not blame him, but I hope I never see him again!
Moral of the story, never take my kids to the library!? Or, give them Beano before we go! :)

Teeny Tiny Sleepover Extravaganza!

My little Princess Faith is such a girly girl. Don't get me wrong, she is tough, will get dirty & sometimes has the manners of an ornery boy. But this little girl loves dolls, dress up & tea parties! We decided to have a a miniature sized tea party for her & her best friend E  ( For privacy purposes I won't be using her name) and their American Girl dolls. Friday night Faith and I baked miniature treats. We had a blast spending some mommy daughter time together. We put on our aprons & set out to make miniature sized croissants, thumbprint cookies, cinnamon rolls, cakes & donuts!! We had fun! The next morning we prepped for the party. I set up a nice display on the table for the treats, Faith & I set out to find a nice ceramic tea set. (hard to find nowadays! Found it at Dollar General for $5!) Faith and I set the tea set up. Faith also dressed up! When E arrived the girl played for a bit while i finalized everything. We started off the evening decorating aprons & sleepover shirts with glitter & glow in the dark paint! Then the girls went back to get all dolled up with necklaces, hats, scarves, gloves etc.! Then the tea party of all tea parties! The dined on  fruit punch & lots of tiny sugary treats! Now, mind you, my little princess does have the manners of a boy! She let out a big toot while they had their fancy tiny tea party! Her friend E announces "princesses do not fart!" Oh the laughter! They even went outside to ride the Gator around.  Later, the girls had their "spa" time. We had face masks, cucumber for the eyes, relaxing music & painted nails! Then, the girl donned their aprons to fix dinner! They made pizzas for us! Boy were they good! Later the girls watched a movie & ate party popcorn! They girls must have been tired because they put themselves to bed that night! Wow! The next morning we got up for church. I really hope this memory sticks with Faith & her friend E for a long time.
I'm including a few pictures from the night.
Enjoy!

After a long Hiatus.

Hello bloggers!
It has been a LONG time! I read over my last post & saw our puppy was only 3 months old! Wow! He is now 10 months old, potty trained and has been named. I chose Beanie as in Beanie Weenie. Since he is a weiner dog and all. Isaiah has been on the move! He is walking all over now & getting into everything. Faith has really learned to read! She is really improving. We have been planting flowers & boy am I loving it!
I am really wanting to use this blog as a way of telling my tales of parenthood. The funny, crazy moments with my kids! My kids truly can make me laugh until I cry & I would love to share these stories with you. I am going to do my best to write in this blog at least once a week. Hopefully twice. And we may be getting a new look! We shall see!
Thanks for stopping by! Ya'll come back now! :)
